Dermal Fillers - Burbage Aesthetics
As we age, our skin elasticity diminishes, our skin becomes drier, thinner and more fragile. During ever facial muscle contraction, our skin stretches and retracts, the more mobile facial areas are often affected by this natural raging process, leading to sagging skin, "expressive" wrinkles and loss of facial tone. With the onset of age we can develop dull and tired looking skin, with a seemingly sad or grumpy expression.
Fear not, Dermal Fillers can help at Burbage Aesthetics.
What are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal Fillers are injectable treatments that smooth wrinkles. They may also add volume to specific areas e.g lips, cheeks and chin.
It is VITAL that you receive a thorough consultation before deciding what treatment and products are right for you and your needs.
Here at Burbage Aesthetics we use a range of semi-permanent Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Filler injections which are all:
Totally biodegradable & absorbable
of non-animal origin
are designed to meet all of your needs (from hydrating your skin, to filling your wrinkles)
We only use the very best of products here at Burbage Aesthetics, which have all undergone vigorous clinical trials, and use a type of Hyaluronic Acid which most resembles the Hyaluronic Acid found naturally in our bodies.
What is Hyaluronic Acid?
Hyaluronic Acid is a sugar molecule that exists naturally in many organisms including us humans. By the age of 45 most of us have already lost 50% of our own natural Hyaluronic Acid.
Hyaluronic Acid is important in regulating water balance, and indeed it acts to bind water and give volume. It is also involved in the transport of nutrients around our body.
The amount of Hyaluronic Acid and it's composition in terms of cross linkage varies between different products. Selecting a Dermal Filler with the correct rheological properties i.e., elasticity, cohesively, viscosity is KEY to achieving a natural long lasting desirable aesthetics result.
In terms of areas to be treated and desired outcomes "one size does not fit all", different products work optimally in different areas by enhancing facial harmony and balance.
What does a treatment include?
Pre-treatment begins with cleansing and sterilising the skin. Some clinicians and patients prefer to use a topical anaesthetic cream, although nowadays many products contain a local anaesthetic. Hence the procedure should involve minimal pain.
If fear of pain is an issue, here at Burbage Aesthetics it is your choice to consider topical anaesthetic. We want you to be as comfortable as possible.
Popular areas include
AROUND THE EYES ( inc tear trough, under eye hollows)
