LED light therapy

LED -   stands for light emitting diodes.

LED light therapy accelerates the body's own natural healing processes,to improve overall skin health. This means we can safely treat a number of skin conditions including, eczema, rosacea, psoriasis and dermatitis.

LED is safe , non invasive and has been used for decades to promote good skin health, and improvement in complexion.

There are no known reports of any side effects, and it is suitable for all skin types.

LED therapy employs the use of irradiating lights with various wavelengths ranging from 423nm to 640nm.

There are NO risks of heat damage or photo aging wounds.

                                How does it work ?

The light from the LED interacts with cells and stimulates them to produce new collagen and elastin.

By manipulating the wavelength used, cells can be turned on or off.

                        Yellow light - Photo rejuvenation

Blue light    - treatment of acne

                        Red light     - Photodynamic therapy

Green light - treatment for hyperpigmentation

Yellow light photon LED - skin rejuvenation

583nm wavelength and 1-2 mm

penetration

This improves the cells oxygenation, which promotes the microcirculation to improve skin texture.

Blue light photonLED -acne

423nm and 1mm penetration

This light promotes the killing of bacteria, skin cleansing, and cell activation, aswell as aiding skin recovery and improving the skinn's composition.

Red light LED -the most penetrating

640nm and 1.6mm penetration

This light promotes recycling and increases the oxygen content in the blood, which in turn increases cell activation, improving energy efficiency, and increasing collagen proliferation.

It improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, relieves pain, and can be used as a stand alonerelaxing tratment to promote the deep absorption of clinically active products (eg.a medical grade Hyaluronic acid face mask)

Green light photon LED - hyperpigmentation

532nm and 0.5-1.5 skin penetration

This light decreases the activity of the melanocyes (pigment forming cells),and thus reduces pigment formation.

It also reduces sebum gland excitation, thereby reducing greasy skin.

                                              Cost

LED light therapy takes around 20-25 minutes, it can be added on to any treatment at a cost of just £20

As a stand alone treatment,it will take 30 mins, and a medical grade mask can be included. £25
