This procedure is most beneficial for parents aged late 20's -60 years. There may be some bruising and/or swelling. The amount will be dependent on the number of threads used and patient sensitivity. This is to be expected however it will settle within two weeks of the procedure. The use of Arnica tablets started a few weeks pre procedure may help with this.

Mono & Twist Threads are for treating fine lines and wrinkles, for some volume (around the cheek area) and for skin rejuvenation. It is also used for treating the neck and for definition around the jawline, tear trough, nasolabial fold, marionettes and brow lifts.

Using the Mono & Twist can be beneficial for preparing the skin for future treatment with the Cog Threads.


Cog Threads are create a lift. Classed as the -'non-surgical face lift'. This is used for sagging jowls or when you can start to see the face drop a little. Skin condition will improve over time with this method.

Points to be aware of: You are advised to stop all blood thinning supplements such as Omega 3 and 9 and certain herbal remedies (Ginkgo, Biloba, Garlic and Ginger Extracts and if possible no ibuprofen for 3 days before the procedure. If Aspirin is prescribed for a medical indication it should not be terminated.However you must be aware the patient is at higher risk of bruising.

PDO Threads - Burbage Aesthetics

PDO Honey Derma Threads are a ‘non surgical’ face and neck lift treatment. This minimally invasive procedure uses dissolvable PDO (Polydioxanone) threads to lift and tighten the skin by stimulating new collagen production, reducing wrinkles, tightening pores and creating volume.
